The Change Management Process is All About Supporting Your People Through a Transformation

An effective change management process starts with achieving proper business alignment – and that means having all your people on board. Once in place, the process continues with support from management. This is an incredibly important pillar of any systems integration or update, and it’s often overlooked.

Change impacts jobs, and those who are impacted need to be supported by leadership with proper training and outreach, especially when integrations eliminate manual labor via system-to-system communication.

So, while we are developing and testing systems in-house, we will also have staff out in the field communicating with the people who will actually be interacting with the new software, ensuring that they are comfortable with the change and understand how it will work – and how it will help them.

No change management process is complete without getting boots on the ground to help staff navigate all the new functionalities and updates they’re going to encounter.

In terms of business intelligence and reporting, if there are new reports that staff have not used before, and these reports include data that is critical to the business, training also needs to focus on the essential data points being captured.
